Financial services company Wells Fargo & Co (WFC) reported a 10% increase in fourth quarter earnings on Tuesday as the decline in its mortgage business was offset by better expense controls.

Deutsche Bank announced on Tuesday that it has upgraded Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (CHD).
The firm has raised its rating on CHD from “Hold” to “Buy,” and has increased the company’s price target from $64 to $66. This price target suggests an 8% upside from the stock’s current price of $60.36.
Analyst Bill Schmitz commented: “Sustainable growth algorithm of 3-4% organic sales, high single digit EBIT and double-digit EPS growth intact, with upside from fast growing Avid vitamin business joining the base and highly flexible balance sheet enabling further M&A or more aggressive cash flow redeployment providing upside to total shareholder return profile.
“With shares underperforming the group and market over the last year and tempered Street outlook for CY14 versus long-term trend, we see an opportunistic window to own the shares at a reasonable entry point.”
Church & Dwight shares were mostly flat during pre-market trading Tuesday. The stock is up 13% YTD.

The Q3 2014 earnings report for small cap audio stock Skullcandy Inc (NASDAQ: SKUL), a potential peer of other audio stocks like mid cap Harman International Industries Inc (NYSE: HAR) and small cap Koss Corporation (NASDAQ: KOSS), is scheduled for after the market's close on Wednesday (November 5th). Aside from the Skullcandy Inc earnings report, it should be said that Harman International Industries Inc reported Q1 2015 earnings on October 30th (net sales increased 22% to $1.4B and net income rose 37% to $92M thanks to robust demand for car audio products) while Koss Corporation reported Q1 2015 earnings on October 22nd (sales fell 19.9% to $5,469,486 as sales continued to be soft in Europe and there was a net loss of $94,998 verses net income of $79,402). Koss Corporation (KOSS) was no different because after looking over its balance sheet and profitability numbers I found substantial NOLs, little debt and reasonable profitability levels which usually are good signs that the company may be a good investment if the company is undervalued. This however is not an article about a company that I will ever invest in due to it being a grossly overvalued, dying company, which has major management concerns.

The American public's seemingly insatiable desire for lean protein in an "on-the-go" form will help General Mills going forward. They have a strong brand with the controlling acquisition of Yoplait, but have yet to parlay that brand recognition to rival Groupe Danone's (NASDAQOTH: DANOY ) Dannon brand, and privately held Chobani's lock on the "Greek Yogurt Craze." I'd encourage management to make this a priority; matter of fact, I'd consider this a microcosm of management's execution effectiveness. Yogurt for breakfast is good. Coffee for breakfast is good. Yogurt-coffee might be crossing a hidden line, though. Thankfully, that's apparently not what�Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX ) and Danone� (NASDAQOTH: DANOY ) had in mind when they recently announced a plan to release yogurt together starting in 2014. The companies both get a benefit from the agreement, with Danone using Starbucks to get more exposure in the American market, while Starbucks gets another arrow in its food-quiver.
